Nuclear Races Logo Charity event

Hey followers, so much has happened in a year; I’ve had weddings, portraiture sessions and baptisms as per usual. However, I’d like to share with you the highlights of my work from this time last year to before the lockdown began.

Photographing several charity, exhibitions and corporate events has been a blast. I met some amazing people doing amazing things. My favourite was a charity event for a company team who raised money for a fantastic charity ‘Action for Children’. The guys took part in the Nuclear races 12k obstacle course. What an incredibly difficult challenge it was for them, from wall climbing and mud trudging to para-plunging and the death slide. This team demonstrated strength, motivation and endurance. Well done to each and every one of them for completing the course. They survived!

Travel, travel, travel. As well as travelling around London and other parts of the UK, I’ve had destination events and projects in Athens, Cyprus and Amsterdam. It wasn’t all work, I did get the chance to take a few days for myself to explore with my camera, eat lots of delicious foods, learn and embrace the culture.

Party Boom. There’s been an increase in parents wanting their child’s birthday to be more than a portraiture or family session. More recently I’ve had clients interested in having their child’s party captured as the event unfolds. This has been awesome for me as a natural photographer. I not only capture posed portraiture, but also those natural moments during the party of the children playing, exploring and giggling with their loved ones.

I know how scary this pandemic has been but I do hope everybody has made the most of this isolation. This is a great time for us all to cease opportunities; start or finish things you haven’t had the chance to do; catch up with family and friends via technology; have a good clear out, not only your home but also your minds; but most importantly relax and enjoy the precious time you have with members of your household. So you see there is always a silver lining. This world is full of beauty you just have to take the time to slow down, pay attention and you’ll see it.

Take care, be mindful, stay positive and safe xXx
